OptiChoiceŽ Standard Vision Program

Overview
The Pittsburgh Technology Council currently offers the
OptiChoiceŽ Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) in conjunction with Highmark
Blue Cross Blue Shield. Through its network of Preferred Providers and contracting
optical suppliers, OptiChoice offers broad vision benefits and many paid-in-full services
at an affordable price.
Members may choose from more than 4,000 OptiChoice care providers and optical
suppliers in Pennsylvania and more than 11,000 nation wide. These network providers agree
to accept the OptiChoice allowances as full payment for many covered services.
In addition to the broad network, members may choose to go outside the network and be reimbursed as indicated below under "Non-Preferred Provider Reimbursement." However, members may be required to pay for services up front or are balance billed for the difference between the OptiChoice allowance and the provider's or supplier's charge.
